[:en]Hypertrophic C-Section scar can be treated with intralesional corticosteroid injections which reduce collagen synthesis not only by inhibiting fibroblast mitosis (cells synthesizing collagen), but along with collagenase (collagen-resolving enzyme) concentration increase. Corticosteroids are administered locally (to prevent keloid formation) by intralesional injections of triamcinolone acetonide injection (TAC) to treat active keloids and old hypertrophic scars. Adverse events include dermal atrophy, telangiectasia, and pain at the injection site. [:]
