Normotrophic scars are the most ‘harmless’ scars. Normotrophic scars are formed in a vast majority as a result of adequate reaction of the body to an injury. In the long run, normotrophic scars turn white in color, look thin and do not cause physical discomfort to their bearers. Normally, they do not require correction, with the exception being the aesthetic improvement of the appearance of the scar and acceleration of the color normalization process.
