Scar treatment techniques

Scar treatment techniques have been developed and refined over decades. The expected results, side effects and complications of the techniques used have been studied thoroughly. The younger the scar, the fewer techniques are required to treat it. If the scar is old, it requires the use of several techniques sequentially over and over again, or during a single treatment session. Using different techniques in one session is called combination treatment.
